Tech Delta Program

The Tech Delta Program is designed to supply financial assistance to tech and medical companies relocating or expanding within the City of Cleveland. These companies experience much higher build-out costs or rental rates due to specific technological needs for their operations. The Department of Economic Development will offer grants on a square footage basis ($5/SF) up to $50,000. This grant would financially support upgrades, and in turn, make it financially feasible to expand operations or to lower rents.  Therefore, companies with expenses associated with tech and lab buildout beyond standard “white-box” space are ideal candidates for the program.

For complete program details and eligibility requirements, please download the Tech Delta Program brochure. To apply for the grant, please download the Tech Delta Program application.

Success Story: Digital C

Located at 6815 Euclid Avenue, Midtown Tech Hive is Cleveland’s first neighborhood innovation space dedicated to making Cleveland a thriving hub of innovation and digital inclusion. DigitalC is an anchor tenant, along with TIES, the Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM. In addition to these longer term tenants, the building houses 104 co-working seats attracting entrepreneurs, employees, and freelancers into the workspace.

Midtown Tech Hive provides events on programming, with a commitment to a diverse user base. Programming will include civic tech events, art openings and classes, digital literacy training through DigitalC’s ReStart program, data & coding boot camps, entrepreneurial support, and community meetings. DigitalC is a civic tech collaboration that catalyzes technology for community impact, focusing on designing, building and operating technology-driven programs and services in partnership with the community.

The City of Cleveland provided a Tech Delta Program grant to assist with additional tech infrastructure and build out of the Midtown Tech Hive office space.
