    Health-Tech Corridor Adds CMC Pharmaceuticals

CMC Pharmaceuticals Inc., led by Mike Radomsky, has recently located to the Cleveland Health-Tech Corridor (“HTC”)  in January of this year. CMC Pharmaceuticals Inc., (“CMC”)  is a research and development, consulting, and lab services company with broad expertise in the chemistry, manufacturing and controls aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.

CMC chose to locate in the center of the HTC at the Baker Electric building (shown in the photo below) because of its affordable space, access to modern R&D equipment, and the surrounding universities and hospitals. Situated in the heart of Cleveland, the Health-Tech Corridor is a leading biomedical, health care and technology region.

CMC, currently a privately held company, utilizes a consortium of seasoned PhD chemists and engineers that provide chemistry, manufacturing, and controls expertise to the pharmaceutical industry. CMC’s President, Mike Radomsky, has a PhD in chemical engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He is the inventor and author of dozens of patents and scientific publications focused on the formulation and manufacture of drug products.

The company leverages their scientists’ extensive background in the formulation, analysis, and manufacturing of pharmaceuticals with an emphasis on those with significant technical and manufacturing challenges. The team has experience with compounds in discovery & early development, sterile injectable products, novel dosage forms, formulations of poorly soluble, potent or unstable compounds, controlled release formulations, and characterization & stability studies required for IND and NDA approval.

CMC’s relocation into the City, will create an additional 8 new positions over a 3-year period while retaining two. As a financial incentive, the City is offered a Job Creation Incentive Program grant in the amount of $12,770, $5,000 of which is to help offset relocation related costs.
